TAWHITI DISTRICT NEWS
EUCHRE SERIES CONCLUDED. The last of a series of euchre parties was held in the Tawhiti Hall on Wednesday night and attracted only a fair attendance. Although the night was cold an enjoyable evening was spent. After supper dancnig was enjoyed to music played by Mr. A. Tidswell and Mrs. J. Pennell, Mr. R. Thomson being master of ceremonies. The prizes were won as follows: Ladies’. Mrs. H. Johnston and Miss J. Bublitz 1, Miss Bublitz winning the play-off. Men: Mr. W. V. Parker 1, Mr. J. Delaney 2. Points series: Ladies, Mrs. E. Paterson 1, Mrs. J. Pennell 2; men, Mr. W. V. Parker 1, Mr. K. Hall 2.
