NEW SAMOAN STAMP ISSUE
DESIGNS DEPICTING NATIVE LIFE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A new issue of stamps for Samoa is to be prepared under the authority of the Department of External Affairs. The designs will be characteristic of the scenery and native life of the territory. It is understood one of the main differences from the present issue will be that the new stamps will bear the words “Western Samoa,” instead of “Samoa,” in deference to'the wishes of the American Administration, which controls Samoa.
