FIRING ON MINIATURE RANGE. WIN FOR PUTT’S TEAM. The first match for the team’s challenge cup was fired over the miniature range at New Plymouth last night, when G. E. Putt’s team was four points in advance of the others. The results were:— Putt’s team: C. Henry 69, W. Jones 68,

Higgs 67, J. Mallon 67, Miss G. Gillespie 66, A. E. Marsh 65, total 333. Hogg’s team: F. C. Hogg 67, Miss P. Hogg 67, W. Gilbert 67, Miss F. Hogg 65, F. Morris 64, total 330. Owing to the King’s birthday felling on that day, the match to have been fired on Monday has been postponed until Thursday night.
