EUCHRE AT SOCIAL EVENING. The Opunake Maori Women's Institute held a successful euchre party and social evening in the tovJn hall. The patronage of the public was exceptionally good. The men’s first prize was won by Mr. Joe Hohaia, and the ladies first prize by Mrs. Gordon, with Mrs. Cameron second. Other winners were: Sack of potatoes, Mr. A. Kerr; lucky numbers. Mr. T. Hardwood (Okato) 1, Mr. S. Manu (Okato) 2, Mr. W. Robson (Opunake) 3. The president, Mrs. T. White, and secretary. Miss Horo,. were assisted by a committee. Mr. W. Roach was in charge of the euchre.
