PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. Mr. F. Tindle is an inmate of the New Plymouth hospital. Miss K. Mulligan is in New Plymouth hospital. Mrs. Ewart and her daughter, Miss Margret Ewart, of New Plymouth, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ewart. Miss Queenie Coombs, of Oaonui, is the guest of Mrs. West. Miss Houlbrook has returned after spending her vacation. An enjoyable evening was spent at Mr. and Mrs. Cooper’s place on Thursday night. There was a good attendance. The first of a series of fortnightly euchre parties and dances in aid of church funds was held in the hall on Saturday night. There was a fair attendance. The prizes were won by Miss D. Miles 1, Mrs. Tindle junr. 2; Messrs. E. Hill 1, J. Agar 2, while consolation prizes went to Mrs. Sayed and Mr. R. Hill. Dance music was played by Jack Hooker and extras by Miss Coombes and Miss West. Mr. W. Walsh was master of ceremonies. Mrs. Tindle senr. is spending a few days at New Plymouth. Miss K. Mulligan is home from the hospital. Mr. Rodger met with a very painful accident on Saturday. While working in the bush his slasher slipped and cut a finger off.
