SCATTERED SHOWERS EXPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather is expected to be-mainly fair to cloudy and mild, but scattered showers are still likely, especially in western districts and in the far south. A shallow depression is passing eastwards, while an anti-cyclone extends across the Tasman Sea on to northern New Zealand. Winds will be moderate to fresh south-westerly to westerly. A moderate swdll is likely north of Cape Egmont and south of Castlepoint, but otherwise seas will be smooth to moderate.
