UNITED STATES’ DECISION / EUROPEAN POWERS ADVISED PAYERS STILL IN DEFAULT CREDIT ADVANCE DEBARRED By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, May 10. . The United States has informed European debtor nations that the Government will accept any war debt token payments offered on June 15, when halfyearly instalments are due, but those countries making token payments will not escape the pro Vision of the Jackson Act debarring credit transactions with foreign nations. The Government’s attitude is that any token payments offered will be accepted but neither President Roosevelt nor the State Department will give the nations any assurance that they are not in de- ! fault.
