DEATH OF MR. E. A. JURY. A well-known Waitara resident, Mr. Edward Alfred (Ted) Jury, aged 43 years, suffered a sudden seizure on Thursday night and was removed to the New Plymouth Hospital, where he died about 5 o’clock yesterday morning. Mr. Jury leaves his widow and three children. Mr. Jury had lived at Waitara for many years. He was a son of the late Mr. ’ and Mrs. A. Jury. He had been employed at the freezing works for many years. At the time of his death he held the position of foreman of the bacon curing department. He left New Zealand with the 6th. Reinforcement, seeing service until the end of the war. Euchre Prizes. Teri tables were occupied at the Waitara Cycle, Athletic and Axemen’s Club’s fortnightly euchre party held on Wednesday night. The prizewinners were: Mrs. W. Crow 1, Mrs. Faigan 2; Mr. P. Sampson 1, Mr. H. George 2.
