CATHOLIC DANCE WELL ATTENDED. The . Pungarehu hall was crowded for the Catholic dance and euchre -party on Friday night. Visitors were present from all districts from-Okato to Opunake. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Mrs. T. Harvey and Mr. S. Campe. Miss C. Brophy and Mrs. G. Julian won competitions. Messrs. T. Brophy and L. Beardmore were masters of ceremonies.

Euchre under the supervision of Messrs. J. Aylward and S. Jones was played in the supper-room during the early part of the evening. ,The winners were Mes-' dames Hibbert, J. Carey and R. P. Fleming and Mr. J. Hartie with Mr. B. Smith second in the men’s section.
