DEATH OF MOTOR-CYCLIST
COLLISION WITH AUCKLAND TRAM. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Fatal injuries were received by a motor cyclist nailed Selwyn Dillon, aged 16, Grafton Road; when his machine was involved in a collision with a tramcar in Parnell. Death was almost instantaneous. The cyclist, who was travelling from the city, swerved to pass a lorry proceeding in the same direction and came into collision with the front of the tram, which was proceeding in an inward direction on the outward track before crossing to the inward track by the switch rails several yards farther on. Tire tram had taken a number of passengers from the city to a stop near Carlaw Park and was returning. The cyclist was thrown several yards, suffering head injuries.
