DRUGGED WITH CAFFEIN
TRAINER AND RACEHORSE. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Brisbane, April 26. Following an incident at Albion Park recently, when a man was caught in the act of administering a substance to a horse and which he stated was given for the purpose of quietening the horse at the barrier, the Queensland Turf Club stewards disqualified J. Tie, trainer, and the mare Loolook for five years. A Government analyst stated that the substance he analysed contained caffein. The use of caffein is prohibited under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
