EARLY MORNING ARREST
DRIVER ALLEGED INTOXICATED. COLLISION WITH MILK FLOAT. A man well known at New Plymouth was arrested early on Sunday morning, following a collision between a car driven by him and a milk float, ,on a charge of alleged intoxication when in charge of a motor-car. The man was bailed out in a sum of £2O and will subsequently appear before the Magistrate’s Court.
The man charged was driving his car towards the breakwater shortly after midnight when he collided with a milkfloat. Constable J. M. Fleming heard the crash and went to the scene. He took the driver to the New Plymouth police station. Dr. G. H. Thomson was called. t # No one was hurt in the collision but slight damage was done to the car and the milk-float.
