FALL OF COAL KILLS MINER
LIVERPOOL COLLIERY ACCIDENT. TRUCKER EXTRICATES HIMSELF. By Telegraph—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. A fatality happened in the Morgan section of the Liverpool State colliery when a fall of coal buried Colin Snedden, a miner aged 34 living at Cobden at 3 o’clock this afternoon. Mr. Snedden with his mate, Mr. Harry Darwell, was filling the last truck before knocking off work wheri- the roof, consisting of soft coal, came away, covering Mr. Snedden and his trucker, Mr. Ronald Morrison,. Dunollie, who, however, was not so near the face and soon extricated himself. Mr. Snedden’s .body was extricated quickly by his fellow workers but life was extinct, his. neck having been fractured. He was a married man with four children.
