ANNUAL BALL. Or Thursday, April 19, the Mangaehu Dogs’ Trials Committee held their annual ball in the Tututawa hall, a large crowd being present. Music was supplied by Waite’s Adelphi Dance Band, and extras were contributed by Miss A. Coyne, Mrs. Corry and Miss B. Kopke. Mr. P. Aitken (Stratford), Mr. P. Corry, and Mr. J. Brown (Douglas), obliged with musical items, while Mr. T. Brough gave a recitation number and Mr. H. Kleeman (Stratford), a tap dance display. Among those present were Mrs. Coyne (Makahu), Mrs. P. Norris, Mrs.-R. Corry, Mrs. J. B. Norris, Mrs. Gibbs, Mrs. Judd, Mrs. White, Mrs. J. Welsh, Mrs. J. Jacobsen, Mrs. Brooking, Mrs. B. Ure, Misses Gray (Stratford), E. Coyne (Makahu), J. Boyle, A. Coyne, R. Jarvis, N. Greenall, A. Johnson, Green (Stratford), Kelly (Douglas), E. Philips, V. Jacobsen, B. Walker, M. Brooking, M. Jacobsen, B. Kopke, E. Hammond (Wanganui), M. Bunhing, M. Rodgers (Douglas), E. Pickering. Personals. Mr. and Mrs. P. Norris have been visiting Wanganui. Mrs. J. Johnstone has been staying with, her daughter, Mrs. Harwood. Mrs. Young is the guest of Mrs. Dons. Miss E. Hammond’ (Wanganui), is visiting Mrs. P. Norris. Mrs. C. Savage, Kopake, made a brief stay in the district. Mrs. A. Holley is holiday-making in the King Country. Mr. G. Walker spent a few days with his brothers.
