SERIOUS FIRE AT AUCKLAND
DAMAGE TO THE EXTENT OF £3500. TWO FLOORS OF FACTORY GUTTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland,March/29. Damage to the extent of £3500 was dona by a firs which, About 5 o’clock this morning, gutted two floors of the factory and warehouse of Takle Bros., Ltd., upholsterers’ suppliers flock merchants, at Freeman’s Bay. It destroyed practically the whole stock and led to the damage by fire and water of the New Zealand Theatre Chair Company in the basement. The company’s loss is estimated at £BOO.
The insurances total £l4OO in the Atlas Offices.. The insurances on Takle’s building and stock ekceM £4OOO in the Alliance Office. .
