TE KIRI PERSONAL ITEMS
A Church of England social committee meeting was held in the hall at Te Kiri on Thursday night. There were present Messrs. W. Walsh, W. Crawford, J. Thomas, Mesdames Huwiller, Sayed, Tindle, Thomas. It was decided to hold a euchre party and dance. The girls’ basketball team met on Wednesday to commence practice. Miss M. McLellan was appointed captain and Mrs. Henderson secretary. Mrs., Ewart has left for Auckland to spend the Easter holiday with relatives. Messrs. R. F. Tindle and H. Watson are confined to their bed. Mr. J. Ewart has returned from Wellington. The school and the house are being painted.' One of the workmen fell from a ladder and was removed to the New Plymouth hospital.
