BASKETBALL SOCIAL
OKATO CLUB’S GATHERING. The -members of the Okato Basketball Club have reason to feel, gratified at the success of their opening euchre party and dance. The committee, of which Miss W. Haylock was chairwoman and Misses Webb and Wooldridge secretaries, had made arrangements to ensure the enjoyment of all, and the large crowd that attended thoroughly appreciated the entertainment Music was supplied by Vinsen’s Ambassadors Band and Miss K. Gobdin played extras, Mr, B. Penwarden -Was master of ceremonies, and Messrs, F, Goodin and H, Paul supervised the progressive euchre, which was won by MisS G. Hoskin and Mr, F. ■Roebuck. The supper was a special feature, The carnival air was created by a number of novelty dances, the Winners being: Monte Carlo, Miss P. Lawn and Mr. G, Thomas; Miss Churchill and Mr, L. Ward; statue waltz, Miss S, Thomas and Mr. L. Batten; Darby and Joan scottische, Mrs. R. B. Gray and Mr. G. Roebuck.
