SUPREME COURT VACANCY
APPOINTMENT AFTER EASTER. MR. ARTHUR FAIR MENTIONED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, March 29. It is expected that after Easter the appointment of a new judge in succession to Mr. Justice MacGregor will be made, and that the Solicitor-General, Mr. Arthur Fair, K.C., will be elevated to the Bench. Mr. Fair has held the present position since 1925, and it is a coincidence that Mr. Justice MacGregor was also Solici-tor-General prior to becoming a judge.
