CROMPTON—HEAD. On Saturday, March 17, the wedding took place at the home of the bride s parents of Theo Maud, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Head, “The Hope, Te Kiri, and William Crompton, youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Crompton, Patea. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Smaill, the wedding music being played by Miss Hunt, Feilding. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attired in a beautiful gown of ivory satin cut on fitting lines, falling in graceful flares to her white satin shoes. Her net silk veil, beautifully embroidered in all comers and mounted from a cap or orange blossoms, fell to form a graceful '.rain. She carried a bouquet of white asters, stocks, roses and asparagus fem. ; m Miss Vera Head was bridesmaid, tone wore a model frock of blue silk floral georgette. A picture hat of blue crinoline and carried a bouquet to match. Mr. C. Slater, Eltham, was best man. The bride’s mother received her guests wearing a frock of brown floral crepe-de-chine and carried a bouquet to tone. The reception tables were decorated m. tones of blue and white to match tne colour of the bridal party. The bride and bridegroom left by car for a tour of the north, the bride wearing a blue ensemble trimmed with silver grey with hat and shoes to tone. Their future home will be at Whenuakura. COLLIS-CAMERON. The Presbyterian Church at Okaiawa, decorated with flowers and foliage, made a pretty setting for the wedding of Hazel Ellen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Cameron, Tempsky Road, Okaiawa, and Noel Veale, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Collis, Cambridge, on Wednesday morning. The Rev. F. Watson was the minister and .Miss Flora Sutherland, cousin of the bride, played the wedding music. Escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of attractive design, fashioned in cream georgette and lace, worn over heavy ivory satin. Her billowing veil of allusion tulle was richly embroidered, and was held in place with a juliet cap and orange blossom sprays. She carried a sheaf bouquet of lilium auratium made by Miss Collis, Cambridge, sister of the bridegroom. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Eva Cameron, as bridesmaid. Her frock was fashioned in a plaid organdie in varied tones of green and white, being finished with trimmings of plain apple green organdie. Apple green gauntlet gloves, fashioned in organdie, and a large picture hat to tone completed the toilette, and she carried a bouquet in autumn tones.

Mr. R. McDonald, Cambridge, was best man. As the wedding party was leaving the church, little Miss Valerie Hodge presented the bride with a floral horseshoe for good luck. Following the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. H. Cameron entertained about 50 guests at their residence in Tempsky Road at a reception, the Rev. Watson presiding. The floral decorations at the reception were in tones matching the bridal party. The bride and bridegroom sat under a large wedding-bell, decorated with a profusion of white flowers. The bridal cake was made by the bride’s mother and iced by her sister. Mrs. Cameron wore a light navy blue marocain gown trimmed with diagonal marocain in tones of red and white and a navy silk felt hat, and carried a bouquet of scarlet gerberas and dahlias. Miss Edna Cameron chose an attractive suit in brown tones, with matching felt hat, her bouquet being of pink blossoms. Miss Collis, sister of the bridegroom, wore a costume in English tweeds with small brown felt hat. All the bouquets, other than the bride’s, were the work of Miss Kathleen Sutherland, cousin of the bride.

When Mr. and Mrs. Collis left later on their wedding tour, Mrs. Collis wore a swagger suit in a brown toned tweed, with a mustard coloured silk blouse and felt hat.
