DANCE AT RIVERLEA
ASSISTANCE TO HALL FUNDS. A . successful dance was held in the Riverlea hair in aid of funds of the Riverlea Cricket Club. There was a big crowd, in attendance. The music : was supplied by Mr. J. ' Hooker’s Merrymakers. A splendid supper was’given by the ladies. Winners of the noVelty dances were: Monte Carlo,’ Miss B. Murphy and Mr. M. Murphy; lucky partner, Miss Grace Hughes and Mr. R. Leonard. Mr. M. A. Voullaire was in charge of the euchre for non-dancers. This department was well patronised. The prizes went to Mrs. Pope and Mr. O, Gargan. The masters of ceremonies were 1 Messrs. Clark and W. Hooper. Mr. 8., Divhall played the extras. On Tuesday night a cricket meeting was called to arrange for custody of the funds.. Mr. M. F. Voullaire strongly urged that the club be registered. It was. decided that, the committee and Mr. M. F. Vpuliaire draw up the rules for the club, these to be presented for confirmation at a. meeting to be held in August. Following this the secretary is to apply for the registration of the club. Arrangements were made for a work-ing-bee to lay down a pitch. in: Mr. D. Gibson’s paddock. .
