RACES AT RANDWICK TO-DAY
NEW ZEALANDERS ENGAGED. By Telegraph—Press. Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 12.5 a.m. Sydney, March 30. Less interest is displayed in this year’s Easter A.J.C. carnival owing to the nomination of Rogilla in the Doncaster resulting in smaller fields than usual. The same applies to Hall Mark in the St Leger. The Av’umn Plate, which includes Silver Scorn and Peter Jackson, will provide a Sydney Cup trial. It was announced to-day that Silver Scorn was a certain starter in the Cup on Monday. Peter Jackson has been slightly lame, and the question whether he will start in the Cup will depend on how he shapes in the Autumn Plate to-morrow. i
The Sires Produce Stakes is invested with considerable interest owing to the presence of the sterling colt Sir John and other promising youngsters. The Randwick track is in perfect order as the result of showers during the week, followed by pleasant sunny weather.
