WAITARA FREEZING WORKS

ENGINEERING STAFF CHANGES. Mr.- and Mrs. J. Weir and daughter arrived at Waitara from Christchurch on Saturday evening. Mr. Weir is the newly-appointed chief engineer at the Waitara freezing- works, and he is taking the position which has been held by. Mr. J. Blair for the past 17 years. Mr. Blair is retiring and will leave Waitara soon to reside at New Plymouth. Mr. C. Marsden also arrived on Saturday to take the position of second engineer at the works. Mr. R. A. Martin, who has held the position for the past seven years, will leave early to take a similar position at Messrs Borthwick ana Sons works at Belfast. —‘
