TENNIS AT WAITOTARA
VISIT OF MAXWELL LADIES. An enjoyable tennis afternoon took place at the Waitotara courts on Thursday, when visitors from. Maxwell were present. Doubles matches were played, resulting in a draw. Friendly games were enjoyed, Waitotara ladies partnering Maxwell ladies. Afternoon tea was served by the Waitotara ladies. Results of the games, with Waitotara ■ladies mentioned first, are:—Mesdames Dobie and Blackie beat Misses Handley and L. Morrison 7—5, Mrs. Train and Miss Jenkinson beat Mrs. Broderick and Miss Barber 7—2, Misses Train and Parsons lost to Mrs. Wills and Miss Darbyshire 5—7, Mesdames Handley and Train lost to Mrs. Alexander and Broderick B—lo.
• Results of the friendly games are:— Mesdames Dobie and Broderick beat Mrs. Blackie and Miss Morrison 6—l, Mrs. Alexander and Miss Parsons beat Mrs. Train and Miss Handley 6—3, Mesdames Handley and Wills lost to Misses Train and Darbyshire, 5 —6, Mrs. Dobie and Miss Higgle beat Mrs. Broderick and Miss Barber 6—2, Mesdames Blackie and Alexander beat Misses Parsons and Morrison 6-1.
