MILD, UNSETTLED WEATHER
STRONG NORTH-WEST WINDS.
By Telegraph—Press Association.
Wellington, Last Night.
The weather will be mainly fair in eastern districts but otherwise will be unsettled with rain at times. Some heavy falls are probable on the east coast of the South Island. The weather will be mild. A series of westerly depressions is crossing southern New Zealand while pressure is rather high to the north. There will be west to north-west winds, moderate to strong generally and in places reaching gale force. Seas will be rough on the west coast and in the Cook and Foveaux Strait areas.
