CARRINGTON SCHOOL PICNIC. RESULTS OF THE RACES. Mr. W. Platt, Midhirst, and Miss Canham, Auckland, have returned to Midhirst after staying with Mrs. J. Burkett, Frankley Road. A second meeting of the Hurworth Sports Club was held this week, when a ladies’ committee was formed, and a very attractive programme was drawn up, including some goat racing events. The sports are to be held on March 24. The prizes for races at the Carrington Road school picnic were won by the following: Boys, 100 yards (12-14 years): Leo.
