SIGNDR MUSSOLINI’S PROPOSALS. TO MEET AUSTRIA AND HUNGARY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright Rome, March 4. It is officially announced that Signor Mussolini’s discussion with Dr.. Dolfuss, Austrian Chancellor, and Herr Julius Gombos, Hungarian Prime Minister, has been arranged for March 14 to 16. It is believed Signor Mussolini is aiming at a plan to economically restore the Danubian States, probably giving Austria and Hungary an outlet to the sea through Trieste and perhaps Fiume. This may assist British trade, as it is understood that negotiations are in progress for the importation of British coal into Austria in exchange for timber.
