BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR
FOREIGN BUSINESS VERY GOOD. BIG ATTENDANCE AT BIRMINGHAM. British Wireless. Rugby, March 3. Foreign business at the British Industries Fair is considered to have been remarkably good in view of the currency trade restriction in so many countries. A statement issued by the Federation of British Industries says: “The feeling expressed by exhibitors is one of satisfaction. It is not possible to say in what proportion the orders have been divided between home and foreign buyers. The chairman of the management committee of the Birmingham section reports that many exhibitors are already expressing a desire to book space for next year’s fair. The Prince of Wales sent a message to the Birmingham section saying how much he was impressed during his visit. In Birmingham the total attendance this year was 124,500, compared with 112,628 last year. Exhibitors are particularly satisfied with the fresh openings for business, both in the home and export markets, provided by contacts made at the fair.
