INVITATION TO OARSMEN
PROBABILITY IN AUSTRALIA. CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, March 5. Mr. A. D. Bayfield, hon. secretary of the New Zealand Rowing Association, who returned from Australia to-day, anticipates that New" Zealand oarsmen will be invited to compete at the Melbourne centenary celebrations. It is possible that a team from England will also take part. Mr. Bayfield did not see much of the rowing officials, but was impressed with the interest taken in rowing in the secondary schools, which constituted a fine nutsery that was practically lacking in New Zealand.
