HARVEST RE-UNION SOCIAL
WHITELEY HALL GATHERING. A pleasant and well-attended “harvest reunion” social was held in Whiteley Hall, New Plymouth, last night, by the Men’s Fellowship. Prayer led by the Rev. F. Copeland opened the proceedings. Community singing under the skilled baton of Mr. Aked followed. A report on the recent Methodist conference, to which he was a delegate, was given by Mr. G. H. White, his survey being supplemented by Mr. Copeland and Mr. C. E. Bellringer. Mr. Moss outlined the progress of an appeal that was being made for funds to liquidate a circuit debt of £I3T. So far £lOO had been collected, and he hoped that by the end of the quarter the full sum required for liquidation of the debt would be raised. Community singing punctuated the evening’s programme, which was concluded by supper, served by the men.
