U.S.A. SENATE APPROVES BILL. MOVE TO INCREASE SUM BEATEN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. Washington, Feb. 8. The Senate without a roll call passed the Administration’s £190,000,000 Civil Works Relief Bill to-day. Roosevelt forces beat by large majorities an amendment to increase the sum to £500,000,000. The House of Representatives passed the measure on Monday with only one dissentient, demonstrating Mr. Roosevelt’s complete control of Congress.
