FIREWORKS DISPLAY.

NEXT WEDNESDAY NIGHT. Given fine weather, there is nothing more attractive for an evening’s openair entertainment than a large display of fireworks when controlled by men who know the business. Such a display is to be given at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, next Wednesday evening by Wainoni Fireworks Ltd. by arrangement with the Pukekura Park Board. Many appreciative reports have appeared _in the Press of the Dominion concerning such displays. Of one fired at Napier not long ago the Daily Telegraph said. “Napier has never seen so brilliant a spectacle of the same kind as was provided by the display of fireworks given on McLean Park last night, before a crowd which, packing the stand and covering a large area of the Paying field, must have numbered about 7000. Variety and originality were keynotes of the display, a brilliant exposition m which all the artifices of the fireworks-maker s craft were cleverly exploited. The programme for next Wednesdays display will consist of . a large number of set pieces in varied designs and a plentiful firing of the ever-popular rockets and aerial shells. The display will be arranged and fired by Wainoni experts. —
