TOTAL ECLIPSE OF SUN
PHENOMENON NEXT WEDNESDAY. A total eclipse of the sun will occur about midday on Wednesday next. The phenomenon will not be visible from The path on the earth’s surface from which the sun may be seen totally eclipsed begins its course off the western side of the island of Borneo, crosses the Pacific in a north-easterly direction and ends in the ocean off the coast of British Columbia. It will include some islands in the Dutch East Indies and in the Caroline group. The duration of totality on the central line will be less than two minutes.
