WOOL SELLING READILY
GOOD PRICES AT SYDNEY SALES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9.50 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 8. A catalogue of 10,275 bales was offered at the wool sales to-day and 9075 bales were sold. A further 471 bales were disposed of privately. The market was on a par with yesterday’s, skirtings, comebacks and crossbreds selling readily at firm prices. Competition was confined chiefly to European Continental, Japanese and Yorkshire sections. Greasy Merino fleece sold to 28d for 11 bales from Adelong and comebacks sold to 28d for 11 bales from Coolac.
The average price of wool in the first three days of the week was £23 10s 5d a bale, or 19.5 d a lb.
