“I have banished the word ‘Australasia’ from my vocabulary,” said Sir John Sandeman Allen, a Conservative member of Parliament for the West Derby Division, Liverpool, in an address at Auckland. Attention is drawn to the ram fair to be conducted at the Farmers' Co-op. yards, Hawera, to-morrow, Saturday, to start at noon. A full catalogue of 350 rams, representing picked sheep from 25 of the best stud flocks, are included in the entry. For the last two seasons stud breeders have saved “top” sheep for this fixture, and the auctioneers report that both the Romney and Southdown rams to be offered at the fair are a higher quality lot than has ever previously come forward. •' "■
