PERSONAL AND GENERAL ITEMS. Mr. H. Woisin, who was called to Auckland on account of the illness of his mother, has returned. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bigelow, who have been spending the vacation at Auckland, have returned home. Nurse Olga Openshaw, of the New Plymouth hospital staff, is on annual leave and is staying at her home in Lepperton. Mrs. E. Wheatley, who has been visiting Whakatane, has returned home. Mrs. Latimer spent a few days in town. Miss Combs has returned to Lepperton from Wellington to take up hex' position at the school. Mr. Jack Nichol, son of Mr. W. Nichol, an ex-settler of the district, has been spending a few days at Lepperton. Mr. J. N. Blyde, who met with a rather serious accident on a hay sweep some time ago, has recovered sufficiently to leave for a holiday. Mrs. Harper Lepper is visiting Douglas, where she is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Cutfield. The newly formed Lepperton Bowling Club is very active. On Saturday afternoon an open afternoon was held so that non-playing members and the public might attend. Afternoon tea was served by the bowlers’ wives.
