Kobe, Feb. 6. ’jThe magazine Gendai has published an interview in which Admiral Suetaugu declared that Colonel Lindbergh carried out espionage work on the coastal fortifications of Japan. _ The article is causing indignation in America, whose representative, Mr. Kiyose,. demanded an explanation from the Navy Minister, Mr. Osumi, who replied that Admiral Suetaugu had not written the article. Mr. Osumi confessed that the article went too far, but declared that an explanation had been communicated to the American Press.
