TENNIS CLUB ACTIVITIES. The Warea Tennis Club held a meeting in ths last week. There was a small attendance of members. It was decided to hold a dance. Challenges were sent out to the neighbouring clubs. Picnic in Domain. The Warea Women’s Institute held a picnic in the domain on Thursday afternoon. Although it was not a large gathering everyone had an enjoyable time. Races and competitions were held. Afternoon tea was served in the domain pavjlioiM _ Results are:—Tiny tots’ race: Marjory Sole 1, Joan Sanford 2, Beryl Fowles 3. rag matching: First heat, Bill Pickering 1, Pat Sole 2; second heat, Sam Lewis 1, S. Boswell 2; final, Sam Lewis 1, Bill Pickering 2. Three-legged race: Mrs. P. Chapman and B. Pickering 1, Miss K. Sole and P. Sole 2, Miss E. Meier and S. Boswell, and Miss J. Lewis and S. Lewis 3 equal. Obstacle race: B. Pickering 1, Arnold Sole 2, V. Patch J. Thread the needle race: Miss N. Wells and V. Petch 1, Mrs. P. Chapman and B. Pickering 2, Miss J. Lewis and S. Lewis 3. Bottle ringing competition: Mrs. D. Longley 1, Mrs. G. Lewis and Mr. P. Chapman 2 equal. Duff Cup Bowling. Playing for the Duff Cup, Okato defeated Warea bowlers by 22 points. Scores are;— 0. W.
