CERTIFICATES FOR 1933 SEASON. TARANAKI CLUBS GAIN 1257. Awards gained by clubs affiliated to the Taranaki Centre of the Royal Life-Sav-ing Society totalled 1257 for the year ended May 31. New Plymouth Gipls’ High School: Elementary 31, breaststroke 157, ' proficiency 29, bronze medallion 24, teacher’s certificate 4, honorary instructor’s certificate 7, award of merit 8, total 260. Patea Surf Club:—Proficiency 2, bronze medallion 2, surf medallion 2, total 6. New Plymouth Amateur Surf Club: Honorary instructor’s certificate 2, surf medallion 1, award of merit 1, total 4. Opunake Surf Club: Proficiency 1, bronze medallion 1, surf medallion 4, total 6. Inglewood school: Elementary 15, breaststroke 43, proficiency 5, total 63. New Plymouth Convent: Elementary 11,. breaststroke 39, proficiency 7, bronze medallion 9, teacher’s certificate 7, surf medallion 5, total 78. Stratford school: Elementary 9, breaststroke 27, proficiency 8, bronze medallion 5, award of merit 2, total 51. Westown school: Breaststroke 21, total 21.
