SUBSIDIES FOR SHIPPING
GRANTS RENEWED BY CANADA. . POINTS FROM THE ESTIMATES. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 7 p.m. Ottawa, Jan. 26. The Estimates were placed on the table of the House of Commons to-day. They renew the £23,600 subsidy for Aus-tralian-Canadian shipping services, also the £20,000 subsidy for the New ZealandCanadian service. The naval grant is cut by £40,000 and cadet training by £30,000. There is no restoration of the 10 per cent, cut in civil service wages and indemnities of members of the House of Commons and Senators.
