COTTON TRADE DEPRESSION
DISCUSSION OF THE CAUSES. (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 7 p.m. Rugby, Jan. 27. Causes of the depression in the cotton industry were discussed to-day when Mr. Walter Runciman, President of the Board of Trade, met representatives of the spinning section of the industry at Manchester. Mr. Runciman undertook to give careful consideration to the representations made with a view to improving the overseas market for British cotton goods.
