OHURA GENERAL NEWS
TELEPHONE SYSTEM OVERHAUL. A second party belonging to the engineer’s staff of the Post and Telegraph Department has arrived at Ohura. It is understood that the telephone system ot the district is to undergo a complete overhaul. Mr. St. Clair’s party, engaged in building a metallic circuit from Tahora, has now reached Tatu, and the second party in charge of Mr. Leyland will work from Ohura. Personal. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Wagstaff and fam- ' ily have taken up residence at New Plymouth . .
Miss Dalefield is visiting Ohura and is the guest of Miss I. MacClure. Miss Betty Allen is visiting Dannevirke and is the guest of Mrs. Franklin. Mr., Mrs. and Miss Proud, Auckland, were visitors to Ohura for the WattsRoberts wedding. Mr. A. MacClure has returned from a trip north.' _ Mrs. Turnbull entertained at bridge on Tuesday.
