'SAMPSON SHIELD AT WAITARA. Fireman E. Procter, of the Waitara Fire Brigade, with a handicap of 3s. won the Sampson Bros. Shield competition for the one-man dry coupling event in 63 l-ss. at Waitara at the weekend. The results were:—E. Procter (35.), gross 63 l-55., nett 60 l-55.; W. Terrill (scr). 62 l-55.; J. Eriwata (3s), 65 2-55., 62 2-ss. The other competitors were O. Moller, C." Tanner, S. Crow, R. St. George, E. Thomas, L. Andrews and E. Spurdie
