The News Chronicle reveals the fact that, in spite of the late Earl Haig’s wish, expressed in his will, that his war diaries from 1916 to 1918 should Be published, the trustees have refused to. give Lady Haig permission to include them in a book of extras from her. husband’s private papers which she had prepared.
