CONTINUED FOR EXTRA DAY
FLOWER SHOW’S GREAT SUCCESS. DISPLAY AT PALMERSTON NORTH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston N., Jan. 25. So successful had the national flower show proved that it was decided to continue it to-day. It was originally intended to close it last evening. The takings for the first two days are estimated at £2OOO, and the attendance numbered about 5000. ’ ■
At the annual conference of the Horticultural Trades Association various matters affecting members were discussed. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. H. Bennett (Dunedin); North Island vice-president, Mr. J. H. Cutler (Auckland); South Island vice-president, yet to be elected; secretary-organiser, Mr. G. A. Green (Auckland); treasurer, Mr. W. V. Kingsbeer (Palmerston North); chairman of the management and finance committee, Mr. T. Waugh (Wellington). This is Mr. Green's twenty-fifth consecutive year as secretary.
