BURGLARS ACTIVE AT OAMARU. THEFT OF ABOUT £2O EFFECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Oamaru, Jan. 15. Between Saturday night and this morning a thief or thieves broke into the office of the Oamaru gas department, blew open the safe, and stole about £2O. The discovery was made when the office was opened this morning. The burglars gained an entrance through a side window which was opened with a jemmy. They burst the strongroom door and the safe with gelignite.
