BRITAIN AND THE ARGENTINE

NEED FOR CLOSER CO-OPERATION. DINNER TO AMERICAN SCHOLARS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Jan. 11. The first two students to win Prince of Wales Argentine scholarships at Oxford, Dr. Oscar Marino and Dr. Juan Ordoriz, were entertained by the Prince of Wales at dinner at the Marlborough Club. The students will go to Oxford at the beginning of the coming term. The installation of the scholars was referred to at a meeting of the American Institute, presided over by the Prince of Wales. The work of the institute, which aims at making British thought and achievement, British culture and tradition better understood in South America, especially in Argentine, was reviewed. It was emphasised that the time had come for an expansion of the activities of the institute in order to secure still closer association between this country and those of SpanishAmerica.
