TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB

ANOTHER TROPHY FOR FEBRUARY. In order to cater for the owners of hacks as well as those of the open horses, the Taranaki Jockey Club has decided to add a case of cutlery to the value of £25 to the stake in the Mokau Hack Handicap, one mile and a distance, an event run on the second day of the cup meeting at New Plymouth next month. A £5O trophy has been donated to the owner of the cup winner and these two trophies will do much to enhance the attractiveness of the programme.
