An extraordinary position has arisen over the fight on Tuesday in London between the ex-seaman Watson, British featherweight champion, and Al Brown, Cuba, world’s bantamweight champion. The latter has been guaranteed £lOOO for the fight, but apparently has been mysteriously marooned in Algiers. Tarleton is proceeding homeward from Australia partly by plane in order to deputise for Brown if necessary, but consternation has been caused by the discovery that he put on too much weight during the journey. Dave Crowley is now expected to fight Watson on Tuesday. ( ■ •
