STORY OF PRISON FIRE
HOLOCAUST DENIED FY SOVIET. ONLY POLICE RECORDS BURNED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, Dec. 17. Sensational reports have been received from Warsaw that a broadcast was picked up stating that the Lubyanki prison at Moscow was burned with great loss of life, including numerous members of the O.G.P.U. (secret police) prisoners locked in the cellars, as well as some warders and firemen. Moscow announces that the fire occurred on December 3. There were no deaths. Only O.G.P.U. records were burned. The fire was only in the top storeys. Messages in conection with the happenings have been stopped hitherto by censors.
