LIGHTNING JAPANESE MOVE
CONSTERNATION CAUSED IN CHINA RAPID ADVANCE UPON LUGMEN. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Peking, Dec. 17. A new lightning move by the Japanese military is causing consternation in Eastern Charhar, where a mixed force of 1000 Manchukuo and Japanese troops from the Bolognor garrison are thrusting rapidly towards Lugmen, 30 miles eastward of Kalgan, the main gateway into China from Mongolia. The Japanese explanation is that the expedition is directed against bandits and will be recalled when they are dispersed.
